She began her legal professional journey at Ligomarc Advocates in 2010, and has since evolved from Legal Associate handling debt collection to an Associate Partner specializing in a broad spectrum of insolvency matters. Her expertise encompasses corporate and personal insolvency, debt resolution, and business restructuring, advising clients in Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria, China, Cayman, United Kingdom, and South Africa. She was also part of the Consulting team that advised the office of the Official Receiver in the Implementation of the Insolvency Act, 2011. This role involved an extensive review of the law and research on best practices. As a licensed insolvency practitioner, she’s acted as a Liquidator and Receiver for entities spanning various sectors, such as oil and gas, education, real estate, general trading, brewery, agro-processing, and more. She has engaged in extensive research on MSME Insolvency in developing countries. Publishing a paper on the topic which has featured in the Insol Journal of 2023. Over the past three years, she’s offered probono services as a guest lecturer at the Law Development Centre of Uganda, facilitating the Bar Course week on Insolvency. She’s also been pivotal in the recently introduced INSOL Future Leaders Programme which aims to help young Insolvency practitioners develop their practice. A recognized speaker on insolvency matters in Uganda, East Africa, Nigeria and beyond I have contributed to conferences and workshops organized by reputable institutions, including the Uganda Law Society, the Office of the Official Receiver, Institute of Certified Public Accountants, among others.
